What is our Dramatherapy Approach ?
The Sesame Approach to Drama and Movement Therapy is an oblique approach. This is an indirect approach. In face of difficulties be it physical or psychological, the principle is to use metaphor as the healing component. Metaphor allows an indirect access to the difficulty in a safe way rather than a direct visit to a past trauma.
Traditional stories use metaphor and universal themes that can offer solutions to our problems and by enacting and or connecting to these stories we can find solutions to our own and everyday issues.
